I’m a winner! Vasari Classic Artists’ Oil Colors Grant

I am thrilled I was chosen a recipient of the $1000 Oil Paint Grant from Vasari Classic Artist’s Oil Colors. Vasari oil paint is very possibly some of the finest oil paint made. It’s a product of exceptional quality, made in a time-honored hand crafted manner that produces wonderfully saturated color.  Steve Salek makes the paint by hand in small amounts. The paints are very pure, not padded with extenders and fillers, and the color is brilliant and bold.  I am especially happy that I won’t run out of them for some time.

Other 2011 winners were Ilya Lerner, Sloat Shaw, Michael Marks, Christina Renfer Vogel, Albert Fung, Emily Adams and Douglas R. Giebel.

You can submit to this year’s contest until December. Details are in their newsletter which you can sign up for at Shop Vasari Colors. Maybe you’ll be a winner too. You can also visit them at their new location 547 West 27th street, Suite 628, NY (between 10th and 11th avenues). I will definitely stop in the next time I’m in New York.

Call them and talk to Gail Spiegel to ask about the details. I saw an ad for it in College Art Association’s newsletter, but I’ve never seen it advertised on their site. I think they did it last year so they’re probably doing it this year as well. It’s such great paint and they are such nice folks. So helpful.

I visited your site. Your work is wonderful!
      thanks for the visit.
      cheers, Jean
