Gold Lindt bunny
A golden bunny just in time for Easter. I’ve painted chocolate bunnies for a few years but this one still has the foil on. Gold foil is so much fun to paint! Oil on panel, 4 x 4 in. | Click to Bid
Apple cluster
A lovely stack of shiny red delicious apples. Apple cluster, oil on panel, 4 x 4 in. | Available
Scattering of cherries
I’ve always loved Bing cherries and getting to paint them and then eat the still-life is a little bit of heaven.
Clipped Cherry
For a long time, I’ve been fascinated with hanging objects; with items poking into the painting or hanging from some unseen source. Cherry on dice
Another in the ‘stacked fruit’ series. The rich color of Bing cherries is always appealing and fun to paint. | Available
Regal Orchid
Close up portrait of a phalaenopsis orchid. This is the kind most often found in stores in the US. Don’t you just love the color and pattern in this flower?

Companions
A group of different orchid flowers clustered closely together in intimate communion with each other. All from the Phalaenopsis family but each with its own personality. They must be one of the easier types to grow since they have become the most commercialized in the States.
Mellow Yellow
With no allusions to Donovan’s song, I called this Mellow Yellow because of how the color seemed to be in more of a minor key against the more neutral background. This cluster of blooms seems rather regal to me.
Mary and Joseph installation
I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been busy with the beginning of school (and subbing for someone), as well as putting up my installation, Mary and Joseph. The show just opened at Williams Gallery and is up until 23 February. You can see images of the entire installation and a description of the […]
